The cybersecurity company Bitdefender published a report of a cyberattack on Middle East telecommunications companies by a Chinese group known as “BackdoorDiplomacy.”
According to the report, the first attack took place in August 2021 and another in February 2022. The Group exploited gaps in “Microsoft Exchange Server”, the corporate email and communication services. The report did not name the States/companies that had been attacked.
