Meta has identified more than 400 app stores on Android and ios phones, stealing Login Credentials for Facebook users’ accounts.
Apps steal users’ accounts through the “Login with Facebook” function, which when pressed generates a page that looks like a Facebook login page. Harm Apps offer functions such as VPNs, games, image modification.. and other services.. All apps have been removed from app stores and you can see them from here.
If pirates can access users’ accounts they gain all the functionalities available to users such as sending and reading private messages, commenting on posts and other functions.
We recommend that you activate 2 Factor Authentication/2 Step Verification on all your social media accounts as well as e-mail services, which is a second obstacle for hackers if they gain your accounts User Name & Passwords.
