Google has issued security updates to fix a vulnerability in Chrome browser, a vulnerability type is “Zero-day”, and tracked as CVE-2022-4262. Users are advised to update to versions: 108.0.5359.94 for Mac and Linux operating systems, and 108.0.5359.94/95 for Windows .
“Zero-day” is a broad term that describes recently discovered security vulnerabilities that hackers can use to attack systems. The term “zero-day” refers to the fact that the vendor or developer has only just learned of the flaw – which means they have “zero days” to fix it
update Method:
- Open the browser menu.
- Select About.
- On the About page you will find the version number, and in Windows systems the browser can be updated from this page.
- For other systems: update from the app store.
We also recommend using the Firefox browser as the main browser for core functions, and when needed using the Chrome browser as a secondary browser for any sub-functions which you may need another browser.
