Starting March 20, Twitter announced that it will limit 2-Factor Authentication via mobile text messages to “Blue” subscribers, a “$8 per month” paid service.

According to the official Twitter account, non-subscribers can use 2-Factor Authentication via Authentication apps such as Aegis Authenticator apps on Android phones, and Raivo OTP app on IOS phones, or through USB security keys.

2-Factor Authentication is an additional security layer for our accounts after login, by entering a code of 6 digits, to complete the login process.

at Tech Mentor; We always recommend using apps that offer 2-Factor Authentication instead of phone numbers. We also recommend following up on the company’s decisions on increasing its profits by linking protection functions to paid accounts, which may require moving to another platform.
